My name is Kyla but my family calls me Sissy and so can you. I am a home based baker serving Lexington, KY and the surrounding counties under Kentucky's cottage food law. I specialize in decorated sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookie cakes. Being a small part of your special life moments is as sweet as it gets for me. During the day I stay home with our son exploring and learning together and I work on creating fun, unique, custom cookies at night!
When I'm not on baker or mom duty (which is very rare these days) I enjoy grabbing a bite to eat at one of our favorite local spots, sewing, and hiking in our surrounding counties.
Fun fact, I used to be team anti-sugar cookie, chocolate chip was the way to go for me. Custom cookies get a bad wrap for not being flavorful or worse for being hard. I have heard so often "I didn't expect them to also taste good"... excuse me what? Is it even a cookie if it doesn't taste good? It is my number one goal to make a cookie that is tasty above all else. I worked for a long time to create a recipe that has flavor and stays soft. It won me over and I think you're going to enjoy it as much as I do.
It is my goal to create an edible piece of art that encompasses the personality of the recipient and the vibe of the event. I love hearing how much your future husband loves golf or how your little ones favorite animal is a caticorn (cat/unicorn combo) and working those little details into the designs so that when guests see your wedding favors, or walk into the room at a bridal shower they think "Wow! That's just so them!"
I do not replicate other cookiers work as my entire goal is to make something that is uniquely you! The more information you give me about the cookie recipient or the event the more personal touches I will find a way to work into my designs for the ultimate custom cookies!
